7120 Optima Kierland is a 12-story condominium tower and part of Optima Kierland Center, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The architecture of the development is a 21st century urban solution to residential design that uses sustainable systems and materials, produces exciting interior and exterior spaces and provides a dynamic public and pedestrian friendly development.
Design
7120 Optima Kierland has a vibrant, undulating façade with its perforated panels and sunscreening louvers creating rich textures, shades and shadows. The high performance glazing, overhangs and careful building configuration also help to mitigate the heat island effect, allowing for energy conservation and CO2 emission reduction.
The building’s innovative vertical planting system with self-containing irrigation and drainage enables a palette of vibrantly colored plants at the edge of each floor to grow both up and over the edge of the building, culminating in a beautiful rooftop garden.
