Russell Harris is chief financial officer of Optima, Inc. Mr. Harris leads the accounting and finance functions for the company and is responsible for placing and managing debt and formulating strategies for the firm’s entire capital stack of real estate investments.
Prior to joining Optima in 2014, Mr. Harris held top financial management positions, including chief financial officer at American Landmark Properties, Ltd. and vice president of asset management for a Security Capital firm. Mr. Harris has been integrally involved in the purchase or development of over $2.5 billion in real estate, and the financing and/or refinancing of over $3.5 billion. He has extensive experience with multifamily, office, industrial, and retail projects.
Mr. Harris earned his Bachelor of Science in accountancy from Northern Illinois University, and is a certified public accountant.
